ADI Shipping Intel C2000 Platforms For Cost-Sensitive Edge Applications

ADI Engineering, Inc., a leading provider of custom Intel-based products for networking, communications, data center, wireless and IoT, announced that its new RCC-VE and RCC-DFF platforms are now shipping in full-scale volume production.

RCC-VE and RCC-DFF bring the performance of the Intel Atom processor C2000 product family to network edge devices, CPEs, small cells, and converged multi-function appliances. OEMs, carriers, and system integrators can deploy RCC-VE and RCC-DFF to extend NFV from the data center to the network edge and even inside the customer premise. The benefits of virtualization at the network edge are clear:

Lower cost CPE (hardware and support economies)
Longer CPE lifetime
Quick and transparent migrations (e.g., IPV4 to IPv6)
One box per site versus a box per service
New service deployment as easy as a software download
Always up-to-date services
Both RCC-VE and RCC-DFF are available as boards or application-ready OEM platforms with OEM branded enclosure, power supply, and packaging. Enclosure options include desktop or 1U rack mount. Whether you prefer to purchase boards or complete OEM systems, ADI supplies RCC-VE and RCC-DFF in volume to your requirements.
