But VeloCloud required a new type of CPE hardware appliance on which to deploy its market-leading SD-WAN technology. Not only did VeloCloud require an unprecedented level of integration, performance, and feature density, but the platform had to support virtualization inside the customer premise while achieving a low price point. VeloCloud also required an industrial design and custom plastic enclosure that reflected its unique brand identity, and they preferred to directly manufacture the product directly with existing supply chain partners.
By leveraging its pre-validated RCC-VE hardware platform, ADI Engineering was able to design and deliver an optimized enterprise and service provider class CPE appliance to VeloCloud’s exact specifications. The VeloCloud CPE appliance will be launched to market meeting all of VeloCloud’s stringent requirements and leverages ADI’s board design, mechanical enclosure design, boot loader, thermal simulation, and regulatory compliance testing. ADI’s unique OpenIP model provides VeloCloud with the flexibility to manufacture and quickly ramp production of the product through its existing contract manufacturing partner.
