Steve Yates - Founder, President and Chief Technology Officer
Steve Yates founded ADI in 1990 and brings 20 years experience in business development, management, and engineering in the wireless, network security, and embedded computer markets. Steve has led the company through its substantial growth, to its position today as the leading provider of reference platforms, OEM platforms and custom derivatives for Intel network processors. Prior to ADI, Steve worked as a Hardware Engineer for Intel Corporation and GE Fanuc. Steve graduated with the BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia. Steve is a registered Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Jeff Pompeo - Chief Operating Officer
Jeff Pompeo is Chief Operating Officer at ADI Engineering where he is responsible for guiding the business operations of the company as well as financial planning, strategic investments, and new initiatives. Jeff has over 20 years of broad leadership experience with entrepreneurial high technology firms as well as large multinational corporations. He previously served as President & CEO of GE-Cisco Industrial Networks, a joint venture between Cisco Systems and General Electric; Chief Technology Officer for a number of Telecommunications firms in the Wireless, Broadband, and Converged Services markets; and Chief Information Officer for GE Fanuc Automation. Jeff earned a degree in Computer Information Systems from James Madison University and an MBA from Virginia Tech.
Dan Schnittka - Chief Architect
Dan Schnittka brings over 20 years of engineering experience to the management team including 11 years as a key member of the ADI Engineering staff. Dan has gained extensive experience in the design of high performance embedded electronic products at the system, printed circuit board, and FPGA/ASIC levels. Prior to joining ADI Engineering in 1998, Mr. Schnittka held various engineering positions at GE Fanuc Automation and the Naval Research Lab. Mr.Schnittka has a BSEE from Northwestern University and a MEEE from the University of Virginia.
Tom Brown - Engineering Manager
Tom Brown brings 28 years of engineering experience to the management team. Tom has extensive experience in the design and manufacture of high performance audio, video, telco, and embedded electronic products at the system, chassis, printed circuit board, and component design levels. Tom also brings many years experience in manufacturing and manufacturing engineering. Prior to joining ADI Engineering in 2008, Mr. Brown held various engineering positions at Northrop Grumman, GE, Dynatech Corporation, Leitch Inc., and Harris Corporation. Mr. Brown has a BSEE from Old Dominion University.
Andrew Girson - Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Andrew Girson is Vice President of Sales and Marketing at ADI Engineering where he manages worldwide sales and marketing strategy and execution. Andrew has over 20 years of experience as an Executive in the embedded systems market. Prior to ADI Engineering, Andrew co-founded InHand Electronics and served in multiple roles, including CTO and Vice President of Business Development. Andrew has BSEE and MSEE degrees from the University of Virginia.
