Pronghorn Metro: First FCC Legal Open System for WISP & Muni Wireless

ADI Engineering today announced its Pronghorn Metro is the industry's first open architecture multi-radio system to receive a complete FCC Part 15 system-level intentional radiator certification. ADI has solved the certification needs of WISPs, OEMs and system integrators using turnkey systems from ADI or building their own systems using ADI's Pronghorn Metro SBC wireless router board, ADI's RM1 high-power MiniPCI 802.11 a/b/g radio with enhanced FCC modular approvals, and ADI's system assembly instructions. The certified system allows one to four radios and antenna gains of up to 12 dBi at 2.4 GHz and 22 dBi at 5.8 GHz. Additional bands are being added.
