Overview
ADI Engineering’s new MicroTCA/AMC Reference Platform is a production-ready solution based on a future Intel® processor. As the first fully-featured reference platform for an Intel processor based MicroTCA/AMC blade, ADI’s solution offers OEMs a unique new enablement model. Instead forcing OEMs to settle for the expense and time of a custom in-house design or the loss of control inherent with conventional off-the-shelf solutions, ADI’s new “Open IP” MicroTCA/AMC solution provides the best of both worlds: Quick time to market and low development cost, with complete design ownership and production control.
ADI’s groundbreaking Open IP business model empowers customers to decide whether to purchase MicroTCA/AMC product built by ADI, to engage ADI for additional design customization, or to license ADI’s complete Design IP Source Kits and build MicroTCA or AMC products themselves with ADI sustaining engineering support.
Since this product is based on a future Intel® processor, additional details are currently only available under NDA. But rest assured that ADI is actively enabling customers with design IP kits, evaluation boards, and design customization services and private-labeled OEM production so you can be among the first to market with this new processor. Open IP Design Source Kits
ADI's Open IP Design Source Kits provide everything you need to build or modify our Next-Generation x86 MicroTCA/AMC yourself – hardware CAD source files (schematic, PCB layout), firmware and software (BIOS, OS's, drivers, etc.), bill of materials, test code, documentation, design and manufacturing licenses, and engineering support from ADI. By establishing a path to customer design licensing and self-manufacturing, ADI's Open IP Design Source Kits restore customer control lost in other COTS approaches.
